We go above the standard NAThers 7 standard to ensure your home is sustainable and comfortable.

In most cases, our homes can be placed in your backyard with minimal disruption, as no heavy vehicles, cranes, or extensive access beyond the garden path are required, unless earthworks are necessary. This allows for seamless installation as a Small Second Dwelling (SSD) without damaging your existing garden. The lightweight construction ensures minimal impact on your land.

Construction time to lock-up takes approximately 4 weeks.

We carefully select materials with life spans of decades or more, ensuring long-lasting quality and resilience.

We consider the values of our trading partners to ensure they match our standards. We source products that are at the forefront for sustainability, and also consider the energy cost of production, which is why our construction method involves as little concrete as possible.

Our design, material selection, and construction methods are optimized to minimize heat loss and gain, ensuring your home remains energy-efficient and cost-effective to maintain, while providing exceptional comfort with no drafts or cold spots. Additionally, we calculate the home’s energy consumption in advance, giving you a clear understanding of the ongoing running costs.

We carefully screen all materials for emissions of harmful chemicals, heavy metals, and irritants like silica and dust, ensuring a healthier indoor environment that supports respiratory health. The home is sealed against drafts, enhancing overall comfort and well-being compared to traditional builds. Additionally, the materials selected are resistant to mold, further contributing to a healthier living space.

We advocate using existing house and land to build a SSD ( Small Second Dwelling). As there is no cost in land purchase, the outlay to create another home is significantly less. Adding a second dwelling is a way to create multi generational living, enhancing family connections. It is also a good way to add value to your existing property.

We consider the impact of the build to the site, and prefer to work with the land. This means we prefer to use stumps because of their low impact, there is no need for heavy machinery so only minimal site access is required as well. Your backyard will not be obliterated, the second Dwelling will be carefully placed to work in the existing garden as much as possible.

Whether you prefer to simply have a kit delivered with guidance only for construction, or whether you prefer to be guided through the building process from beginning to end, we are there for you to ensure the process is as smooth and stress free as possible.

We have considered the lifespan of our products and their durability to
withstand weather events, as well as internal wear and tear. Our products withstand fire and floods better than brick veneer homes, are not susceptible to mould and are finished to last over 40 years.
